Over the past century, the sphere of unity encompassed by the Covenant of Bahá’u’lláh has steadily widened as the Bahá’í community has grown and spread around the world. Today, millions of His followers comprising a cross-section of the human race remain united through the provisions of the Covenant. Baha’u’llah’s Covenant was ordained in His own Writings by calling into being institutions assured of His guidance so that His teachings and laws would not only be safeguarded but also promulgated and applied to the needs of an evolving global civilization.
